AIS, Altea International School, a unique and successful British school in the Costa Blanca, Spain, is looking for a qualified and engaging Science Subject Teacher for KS3/KS4 (including GCSE teaching experience), starting September 2023.
AIS follows the British National Curriculum with Steiner Waldorf orientation and Mindfulness.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Subject Teacher for KS3/KS4 who resonates with the ethos of our school. This is a full-time position and involves Tutor responsibilities to a KS3/KS4 year group.
Essential requirements are:

Be a fully qualified teacher with experience of the British National Curriculum. (PGCE or QTS)- Have interest in the Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy and/or other holistic educational approaches.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver teaching in English confidently.
- Be a vital part of a growing teaching team and promote the school to parents and the wider community.
- Have a working permit in the EU. Candidates without EU work permit will not be considered.
Desired requirements are:
- Have experience in teaching IGCSEs (preferably Edexcel).
- Have knowledge and experience of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy.
- Have interest in the incorporation of mindfulness in education.
- Have the ability to communicate in Spanish.
