Customer Data Specialist, Enabling Enterprise Data

A leading provider of professional cleaning equipment, globally, Nilfisk is on a journey to further digitize and solidify offerings and value chains in the light of strong industrial trends and customer demand. As a strategic focus area in Nilfisk we have begun an ambitious journey to create a best-in-class enterprise-wide data enablement setup with a strong value orientation and a key role in achieving company targets.
The newly-established team spearheading this mission, Enabling Enterprise Data (EED), is looking for a new colleague to help us establish company-wide customer master data operations. Here you’ll contribute to streamlining how we generate, maintain, monitor, control and commercialize the customer master data moving between our main commercial systems, across markets and functions.
It is no small task, hence we’re looking for the right person who is ready to roll-up their sleeves and help us elevate our data practices.
In this role, you’ll be joining a new team and we look forward to you taking part in establishing customer data operations as a discipline in Nilfisk.
Specifically, we expect that you will:
- Take an active role in establishing and introducing customer master data operations as an anchor for the whole organization. We’re breaking new ground, and this means defining and then implementing and running the operations of a streamlined end-to-end customer master data process, piece by piece.
- Engage with a wide stakeholder landscape to ensure collaboration and co-design solutions that meet the needs of the business. This means being confident in dealing with a variety of interests and an ability to navigate in uncertain terrain.
- Through the use of data, design and plan best-practice end-to-end customer data generation, maintenance, and control processes. In short, contributing to compelling plans and more importantly, executing them.
- Contribute to the implementation of new streamlined processes, ways of work, and protocols, ensuring that new methods are anchored in the business and continuously improved.
- Ensure tooling and systems are set-up, configured and implemented according to defined processes and needs in close collaboration with IT and other parts of the business.
- Help us find new paths and ways of work that work not just on paper, but in practice too.
Your work will contribute to foundational business operations and to realizing Nilfisk’s ambitions in the years ahead and beyond.
Your new team:
You will be part of Nilfisk’s Enabling Enterprise Data team reporting to the team leader located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The broader EED team offers an open-minded and passionate atmosphere with people in multiple locations across Europe, US and Asia. Further, you will be in close collaboration with partners from a variety of functions, including colleagues in IT, customer care, finance, sales, marketing, and more.
Who are you?
We imagine that you are an experienced professional who is comfortable working closely with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience from a large, global organization is a must – and so is your motivation.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- Have extensive (5+ years) in customer master data management from a global company
- Are well-versed in Order-to-Cash processes and controls
- May know a thing or two about GDPR
- Are experienced with the interactions and best-practice of data flows between CRM, ERP and other key commercial systems – even better if you have experience with Salesforce, ServiceMax and SAP, though not a requirement
- Feel comfortable being the go-to for customer data control and solutions
- Feel confident communicating and devising solutions with a broad range of colleagues across different markets and functions
- Can prioritize and ensure the need-to-have is in place in order to pave the way for the nice-to-have
- Can challenge status-quo in order to help us not just improve, but create a best-in-class customer data handling operation
- Are excited about the number of possibilities a great customer data foundation can generate and impact for the business – and more importantly, our customers
